R50/53 Removing front fenders

Removing front fenders

Can you get the front fenders off without removing the side skirts? Or is there a trick to getting to that lower bolt?

The Fender or the A-Panel. The Fender doesn't touch the side skirt so I assume your talking about the A-Panel, and best I remember you will need to atleast get the front par of the skirt loose enough to get that bottom bolt out..

sIf you're having trouble pulling the fender clips out, sometimes a small set of needlenose/snap ring pliers are nice to hold the outer section in place while you unscrew the center screw with a philips. Good luck!!

Yeah, I'm talking about the A-Panel. That bottom bolt is a beeotch.

He is talking about bolt No. 2 in here I think. That area slides behind the front part of the side skirt

Yes, I'm referring to #2 in the diagram. Not the wheel arch trim.

Ok, yea those things have clips which you can get with needle nose pillar on the back side. Check out my link above for pics. Its easier to remove the back portion of the fender liner( to that quarter panel) then go up and in to push them out.
