Classic sedans are up right now. Lots of British classics. Not one mini.

on topic and relevance

I have been watching these races. The event was so well organized and covered with all these eyecandy cars and motorcycles of the bygone era. Of the bike race the MV Agusta 500 triple is one of my favorite, and the Norton 500 Manx is so pure.

Here is a race with some of my favorite 60s cars, and with a lot of classic minis (all lower case is to emphasis the diminutive size):

Car bloating has been going on for a very long time. Cortina MK1 is the only Cortina that deserves on the racetrack. All subsequent ones got bloated and fat, without the muscle to go with it.

I love watching these. I have also noticed that, in general, the best contests aren't for 1st, 2nd or 3rd. I always look to the middle for the good stuff - just like the race between the GTA and the Mini in the video above.

I thoroughly enjoy watching every race. That Mini ******* the more powerful Alfa GTV is something to behold. Eventually the Alfa got the upper hand - 1750 Italian DOHC vs 1275 push rod Kent.

There are more Jaguar Es than you can shake a stick at. They battled AC Cobras and Ferraries, with some of the most amazing driving. I love the two commentators with their polite English manners and automotive knowledge. There is never a dull moment.

I started watch the archives from previous years.

I cannot agree more. As I rewatching this video I realized the Alfa the Mini battled is a GTA with 1600 which I mistaken as 1750 GTV. I did not know about the 1600 GTA until today. I do know the GTV evolved from 1300cc earlier incarnation. It is one of my childhood dream car. It is amazingly light at about 1640 lb. The winning Ford thunderbolt according to Wiki has a 7 litre V8 and weighs in at twice that of the Alfa GTA. The Lotus Cortina that came in second has a 1600cc twin cam if I have not mistaken.

Goodwood Festival of Speed - live now

This is a related event to the Revival that is in September.

I spent all day watching the live stream on the big screen yesterday. It is on going until the event is over. Countless historically significant race cars and world's best drivers partaking the hillclimb. The best commentators of any motorsports events.

Understandably the livestream is at time delayed if you are on the wrong side of the pond.

I don't usually watch the historic races but I will check them out when I can. I do enjoy the Shootout Hill climb event as well as the parades. The variety of cars from different eras is superb. Attending this event in person is on my bucket list but I'm thankful they stream it on YouTube.
