85K Preventative Maintenance items - Need suggestions

Hey guys, just picked up an 03 MCS late last week. Kind of an impulse buy but we have been wanting an MCS for a little bit. Anyways, it has 86k miles, no issues (driven 300+ miles since we got it), and would like to keep it that way.

Not a daily, so I'm able to put it up on the lift for a few weeks if need be so.

I wanted to get a list going of what I need to take care of at the 85k mark. The car appears to be maintained well, but I don't have many maintenance records.

Here's what I plan so far:

Supercharger Oil
Serp belt
Coolant flush/Expansion tank
Water pump
idler pulley and tensioner
harmonic balancer
FCAB's

Let me know if you all have any other 85k recommendations. Thanks!

Of course new front control arm bushings with powerflex so you don't have to do them again

And with the number of crank pulley failures going to an ATI damper is a great idea before it fails and leaves you stranded

brake fluid change due every two years

Air filter? or go to aftermarket DDM intake

Otherwise just look the car over and do what it actually needs.

Replace that plastic coolant expansion tank as well. They fail at the seam.

While you have the supercharger off also replace:

crank sensor o-ring
water inlet/outlet o-rings
thermostat and gasket
supercharger gaskets (the green air one)

There may be more, but it is very early and my brain is not awake yet.

I would look at your strut mounts and struts. My 03 has 80,000 miles on it and I had to replace the strut mounts about a year ago, I replaced the struts, and rear sway bar too (sway bar was for performance)

Has that been proven to work well? What can be the difference between a $50 unit and a $150 unit?

Like everyone has said.......you are forgetting about the stuff that really needs to be replaced....like LCA bushings, engine mounts, ball joints, strut mounts, tie rod ends, struts....pretty much all suspension related wear items.

If it was me I would not mess with the harmonic balancer, or supercharger oil (unless you can see that it's leaking). I've got 155,000 miles on my SC and harmonic balancers....no issues so far.

At that mileage you my want to consider changing the transmission fluid. Cheap insurance.

You could flush your ps fluid, check the ps fan and the infamous low speed fan resistor working.
