R50/53 am i lowered?
am i lowered?
so i'm not sure if my r53 park lane is lowered or not. strange i know, but i'll explain. i've got 205/45/17's too on the s-lite wheels
the springs have no visible signs of part numbers on them as if they were after market jobs and they are what i assume is standard looking black.
however the height between the road and the top of the wheel arch isnt what i think it should be
so the fronts are 630mm, the rears are 635mm. i thought they should be 650 and 655mm?
and to possibly mix it up i'm in australia. does the aus model have lower springs to begin with? or is the 630/635 the standard height and the 650/655 i thought it should be just wrong info?

A picture is worth a thousand words. My friend had his car lowered, mine is a JCW sport that is 1/2" lower than the stock S. Whereas the 1/2" is hard to tell, a normal lowering is pushing over an inch and that is easy to see.
It appears you have about 2 fingers between the top of the tire and the bottom of the black plastic trim. That looks close to my JCW that has 1/2" lowered springs.
And nice looking MINI.

Looking at pictures is not very accurate and it gets worse due to differences in tire sizes. You need to measure from the wheel arch to the ground or from the arch to hub centre and then compare that to somebody with stock or lowering springs.
