NEED HELP! Locked out of my car!
Hello fellow Mini People. I did a very dumb thing to say the least. I have managed to lock myself out the car while the battery is disconnected. I also left the car keys in the trunk and do not have a spare
Just had a locksmith come but he was unable to open the door. I do not want to have to break the window but i dont know any other options. Can any one please help.

I would try another locksmith. Or a slim jim. There's a cable that runs from the interior door **** to the latch, if you can snag that with the slim jim, that would open the door. The other way would be to pry the window back from the door frame and get in there with some sort of tool/hook that the locksmith could manipulate the door handle with and open the door.
Worst case scenario, if you do end up having to break glass, you might find out what's cheapest to replace before you do it. I'm betting it's the glass that's between the window and the rear door, or if you're in the market for a new windshield, now might be a good time to have one of those guys come and replace your windshield, you could always unlock the front doors while your windshield is out.

Since you need a spare anyway I would recommend getting what is called the "general, non-remote" key. Cheaper and has a blade for the door and the EWS chip to allow your car to start. If your door locks and actuators are in proper order you should be able to open the door with the blade even though the battery is disconnected.
Breaking the window will be just a big mess and you need a second key anyway. The non-remote key will be around $100; money well spent. They are available for both the clamshell two button style of key and the flat three button keys.
Let us know how this turns out.

+1 on the new "valet key".
If the dealer is too far, mine is 2 hours.
You could always use a shimmy with a hook to catch the door handle on the inside. It's possible. I've broken into my MINI before. Don't worry, just take your time. IIRC I used a hanger type of material, thicker and bent a hook. Used a large flathead to pry the glass/gasket out of the way.
It is possible.
Good luck.

If 24 hr locksmith from AAA can't be able to unlock the latch then taking help from the dealer is the only option left behind.
3 days later.........
If the car is still locked, try this, though it's not easy:
Under the front of the car, with a long screwdriver/pry bar, release the hood catches. The left side is not easy to get to, but it is possible. You need a second person to hold the hood up to prevent it re-engaging.
Then put jumper cables on the under-hood terminal & ground. Hopefully, the car is not actually 'locked'.
I'm not entirely certain, but I think the door catches & locks rely on electricty to operate - ie there is no 'mechanical' way in.
