I just placed an order for an S last week in Winston Salem North Carolina. I have been told that is should take 10-12 months before I can take delivery. Is this accurate, it seems that people are getting them much sooner than that? Also I am interested in the Indie Blue color, but this color has shown up on the new updated option pricing sheet as an delayed item, will this pro-long my wait.

some dealers have that long of a wait and others do not. Check other dealers in your area. I had a 10-12 month wait, I switched dealers and knocked it down to 4-5. How many people are on the list and what is their normal monthly allotement?

I am in Central Texas. How and where can I get one in less than 2 or 3 years? I'll fly anywhere in the US and drive it back. The nearest dealers are in CO and TN. The CO dealer said it would be 2 years and the one in Memphis said that at BMW's request they are not selling out of the immediate area.

I placed my order at Mini of Towson (Md) in May and got my production # in under 2 weeks. They say that they will order for folks that are out of the region, but will charge extra.

That's where I'm getting mine from too. Have to wait for a September build date to get the BRG.

From: NY - Westchester
I was in at MINI of Westchester NY to order a Pure Silver S with sun roof on Friday. They told me that it would be late November or December before they could have it in. On the saturday before when I was there the wait was only August. Four days wait added four months to the delivery time. Luckily, someone cancled their order or something and they have a Pure Silver S coming in this week (w/o sunroof) so I took that instead. I should have delivery Friday or next Monday. Speed and luck is of the essence here my friends.

If anyone cares... Whoopi Goldberg lives in this area and ordered a MINI. Then she canceled it... I guess she won't know what she missed out on now!

That's odd - I'm on a waiting list at Roadshow MINI of Memphis and I'm out of the area. I spoke w/John Lloyd and have been on the list since late April/early May. Can't remember...please don't tell me they won't give me one now!! I don't think it'll be an issue since they've already cashed my check.

I spoke to them this week, in fact, and they were hopeful I'd get a production date soon...we'll see...
