Code help

Have managed to get a code from the Engine ECU for my Engine light Limp mode
issue
P1570
I need pointers please to what to look for
All electrical plugs look clean and are plugged in usually on a cold start everthing is fine its only when the engine warms up that the engine lamp EML lamp and limp mode engages
Engine starts first turn of key runs smooth even when all lights and limp are on
Can get a lot of information off Delphi software but dont have a set of figures to work from
for example it will give outputs from pre and after CATS
Accelerator
Air mass
lots more but useless if you don't know what your looking for

Took me about 1min to find an answer on google.

Engine control module (ECM), sensor supply circuit A - low output.

What you do with the info is up to you, but I recommend google.

If you have already found this out, put it in your post so we know you don't just want us to do your homework for you.

To mean an answer would be front left ABS sensor or something specific
because in other control units the codes are quite specific
yes i did google it and got the same answer as you but what does that mean?
it must mean something because they created a code for it

And that explanation of that code is what will point me/ you where to start investigating

Yep I kept googling after I posted that and hit the wall. I couldn't find anything else. Are you near anyone who can hook up INPA or a specific BMW tool?

According to Bentley manual, P1570 is the ECM internal 5-volt voltage is low (Below 4.2 volts). Consider a failure within the ECM or the power and grounds to the ECM.

Can't tell why someone posted P1571, but it's similar - ECM internal 5 volt is high ( over 5.8 volts)

What software did you get. I got the software David Suggested and had a little problem with setting IP ect, but i was able to make it work. Purchase a cheap computer after testing it on an old dell with XP, since i couldn't run it in a VM since some of the software run on VMs. Now it the learning process beginnings.

Finally sorted the car
Brake issues as you guys suggested ABS sensors
Problem had 2 fitted by mechanic who filed the sensor body rather than clean the holes
sorted by 2 more new sensors and fitted them myself
All engine problems cured by cutting off earth cable and soldering on new ring
earth location ns front strut
