An Hour of Bliss

Cross posted on Mini2 as well...

Today Schomp MINI unveiled two Convertibles...an MCC in Hot Orange/Blue...and an MCSC in Cool Blue / Blue. The S was spec'd almost exactly as our car is.

We had an hour alone with it this evening.

Words cannot describe how happy we were with it and how satisfied we are with our choices.

The top has been up and down probably 40 times today - no sign of wear. No rattles, no wind noise at the window seals...no dash or door panel rattles.

We drove it top down

We drove it top up and closed

We drove it top up - sunroof open

It was simply put awesome.

This example did not have the Chrono pack which we ordered. The other day I took my Moggie for a spin...and after driving this car...we're dropping the Chrono. Other than that our spec stands.

What a terrific opportunity..to be able to take out virtually the exact car we've ordered and be able to say...We Love It!!

Peter....Who has just experienced a little bit of Heaven on Earth....in Denver

Oh thank you, thank you! I can't wait to get my hands on ours - it hits the port on the East Coast Friday - Yippee! I'm so glad you were thrilled.

Chow!

It was a one hour drive of a car that is not ours and I'm still smiling!!

We went into it with a certain amount of trepidation...we spec'd Cool Blue but had never seen it...after all the discussion of problems with the top (poor visibility, wear, poor sealing at the doors etc.) I was concerned that I might not like the car at all...

The color is awesome...I know it'll be a very common combination but that's OK it's beautiful..and the car overall far exceeded my expectations.

Peter...life is good...in Denver

My dealer had a Hot Orange/Blue Cooper on the lot the other day....their demonstrator. My only thought was.....weird. Hot Orange w/ a blue roof?? Not a combo I would have selected at all. Why are they doing this blue roof thing...maybe so people can see it??? Blue w/ Cool Blue, silver, or even BEP, no problem, but HO!?!?!?!?!

Peter,

First of all, great to hear how you loved you test drive.
Secondly, I love how you always sign your posts. They always give me a laugh. It is very witty of you.

Well....I can see it as a combo...it wouldn't be my choice but it's not offensive...now Green Roof on Orange would be something of a pumpkin wouldn't it? ...and besides...Orange and Blue are the colors of the Denver Broncos!

Peter... who, as a Wisconsin Ex-Pat, should have ordered LY with a Green Roof, but who now lives...in Denver

K-bear,

As it's only about a 22 hour drive from Denver to Cincy, why not get that MCSC again for an overnight, drive over to Ohio, and show it to me. Ya know ya wanna do it. Muahahahaha

Khodabear,

If you would have ordered the cool blue with yellow dash, it would be a Rams MINI I was tempted
