Passenger door lock stopped working?

I have a 2005 R53 with about 26,000 miles on it, I drove my cooper for the first time today since this weekend and found that the passenger lock will not actuate open or closed when I hit the button on my key...

Any ideas as to how to fix it?

Will both doors lock/unlock using the toggle on the center console, or just the driver's side?

Check your fuses?

I'm guessing that the door actuator that locks/unlocks your door (located inside of your door) has died on you. Mine died last year.....just haven't got around to buying a new actuator....they are around $100.

Is it the same when you try to unlock it with the switch on console? If the fuses and everything checks out, you can pull off the door panel and investigate further. We have actuators HERE if needed. Otherwise, might try repairing with this DIY HERE.

I thought about trying to repair mine....but after I spend about 30min getting it out of the door, and messed around with the actuator for about an hour trying to get it apart...I finally gave up. It's rather spend $100 and buy a new one vs. trying to tear one apart, fix it, and get it all back together....and hope it works. Maybe for a year, maybe for a week.
