$150 for a pair of front sport seats out of a 2003 R53. The interior color code is Leder Gravity / Lapis Blau (T6LP ).

I am sure they are NOT heated seats.

The drivers side seat belt buckle/tensioner has been removed.

I did the heated seat upgrade on my R53 and these are the non-heated seats I took out. They driver seat is in good condition. The passenger seat is in excellent condition.

Local pickup or I can arrange to meet you within the NoVa - DC - Baltimore corridor.

I will ship if you pay the shipping costs. Shipping will not be cheap. I would estimate $50 each, but I will charge you the actual cost. You would have to send payment by check or paypal before I ship and I will wait for the funds to clear.

David, can you post a thread about the heated seat upgrade?

They may have the heated pad material. Check for a connector that has a plug with three wires; green, brown and violet. Some seats had the heater pads preinstalled and you only need a portion of a retrofit kit.

For those asking about retrofitting heated seats - attached is the OEM retrofit kit directions.

I've done this retrofit on my MINI - be prepared to take a lot of the interior apart!

It's also possible to install an aftermarket kit on your existing seats, but to do it right, you will need re-glue the upholstery onto the foam cushions. If I could do things over, I probably would gone this route to keep the costs down.

Unfortunately, the seats I bought for my OEM install had a shorted seat heater wire (started burning through the seat cover), so I'm using a setup with an aftermarket seat heater element using the OEM wiring. It will only do one temperature and turns off by itself after about 5 minutes. One of these days I'll pickup a good set of used OEM heated seats to make it work correctly...

There is a thread already - but someone willing to cut and drill holes - and you have to modify things a bit from R56 to R53 - I went with dealer parts listed in the instructions above - no drilling or cutting that way. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...mcs-r56-2.html

I found a used pair of heated seats (look for the extra connector on the bottom of the seat, in addition to the connectors for the belt tensioner and side air bag) - many MINI's apparently had seats with heaters even if heated seats weren't paid for. I got mine cheap as I recognized the extra connector in the photos, but the wrecker didn't know what it was, and the car wasn't spec'd to have heated seats.

Then buy the heated seat install kit from a dealer that includes the switch panel (heated seat switches are included with the side view mirror panel) and the wiring. Parts of the wiring have to run under the carpet, up the A pillar (connect to the fuse box there) and to the ignition switch.

Then enjoy...
