passenger compartment temperature sensor

Hi All,

This one is even puzzling my local mini dealership: I have an N18 engined 2010 R56 MCS LCI with auto climate. I checked the IKHA (auto climate control) with Intelligent system scan and the passenger compartment temp sensor read -40 deg C. But where is this temp sensor?
Pre LCI versions have a hole in the control box where a fan draws air into it and over a temp sensor. The later version has no hole. The are 2 other temp sensors in the system, one for the heater matrix and one for the evaporator. these two are present on the pre LCI version too.
I understand it needs a third one that actually measures the air temp inside the car, three in total. But I cannot find it! Does anyone know if there is a third sensor? If not which of the remaining doubles as the passenger temp sensor.
Like I say my local dealership cannot answer the question and keep trying to sell me the heater matrix sensor. This might be correct but they cannot say for sure. Advice please.....

p.s I have also found that my car has a solar sensor too.
