Yes it is from LEAP. It does come in gray primer, there are pics on the listing of what it looks like. Great deal compared to the M7 ram air one which is 259$ + shipping.

You're absolutely right. I didn't see that when I looked from a PC earlier today. Looks good.

I think I might get one to go with the Forge intercooler that needed the diverter to be removed.

well I ordered, talked with the guys at leap, and these are gel coated, and decently thick, to the same spec as the OEM. I think it looks killer, cant wait to put it on!

Can anyone explain why the Ebay item was $40 more than the item listed on the Leap website?

leap website has $50 flat rate shipping. and the ebay item is already in the states, whereas ordering from mexico has to go through customs

correct and you have to pay duty tax before it will be able to go to customs. and pray that customs does not open the package for inspection and mess it up in some way.

Anybody tested to see what it does for the IAT? Curious if it does anything at all.

I'd buy it if there was any actual performance gained from it.

I received and installed mine, ABSOLUTELY looks badass! The weather is just starting to get warm and I say with this big opening it will definitely make a difference in IAT, or atleast remove the dreaded heat soak fast.

I have received mine, looks good, they did a nice job sanding it prepping for paint, im going to touch it up anyways just to be ****. unfortunately I wont be able to paint mine for a little bit since its still 40 deg up here and I don't have a garage. but I was going to match the car... pepper white, I may rock it in primer for a little bit to see how it is, or dip it

Show us some pics installed from different angles. I didn't see enough on eBay or the Leap site to feel sure about the purchase.

Hey Salt, you will love the new look. Are you going to do fit and finish yourself? I took mine to the body shop and had it done, they told me it needed some trimming here and there to get it fitted properly but it came out great. From the front now anyone who owns a r53 would definately know its not stock as the opening is so much larger and aggressive looking! As kindigit would say, its bitchin'.

I think your to late as I don't see their listing anymore on eBay. It really looks bitchin. Pics don't do it justice you need to stand in front of it to see the real difference.

I can take some pics with stock and with the LEAP. I fitted mine last night, had super minor trimming right at the bottom, wasn't seating right. and the passenger front post has a few deg of taper which makes it sit funny. but once tightened down has the same gap all around it. I dipped mine white last night so I can run it until It warms up to use real paint. ill be able to get pics tonight after I install

I talked to Louis as I was going to order mine yesterday and he told me that had some fitment issues that they need to look at and take care of as they listen to their customers. So they're working on them to get them right. I've had nothing but great customer service from Louis and the folks at LEAP. I can't wait till they tackle this small setback and I can order one.

Just finished the install. Not a perfect fit, but fine for the race car. Would like to see the rear bolts about 10mm longer and lock washers supplied.

i couldn't take pics of mine due to how dark it was when I got to put it on. ill take them today when its not raining. I agree with the supply of lock washers, I was lucky enough to have them on hand, so I wasn't too worried.

my fitment was almost spot on. the back driver side needs to shimmed up surprisingly by about .125. and the front driver needs to come down about .050 to be nice and flush.

one of the studs for me did snap tho.... wasn't happy about that and I wasn't torqing it yet. I was taking all the slack out with my ratchet ( shoulda used a driver handle ) and bam before I knew it, snap. using 3 fingers to rotate the ratchet.

But taking the scoop for a drive, it did keep the intercooler cooler. after boosting around to where the clutch lets me, I wasn't driving slow at all. and normally im about 10-15 above ambient cruising. I was 6-12 above ambient. and while in boost it seemed to keep the temps down longer than with the stock scoop. cooled off faster as well ( IMO )
