My 04 MCS has a little electric rattle sound when accelerate at 3-5K rpm. Sounds like the crank pulley need to be replace. Anyone used Alta 0% crank pulley? If so what are the bad and good? According to Alta website they said no harm to engine internal. Also I have the 15% Alta pulley. You opinion is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thanks guys. I've been doing a lot of research and hearing ATI 0% has more positive reviews than the light weight crank pulley. I will go with the ATI just to be safe.

I'm running a 2% ATI w/ a WMW 15%. Runs ( smooth)like new on my 02 S.
I've got a lightweight pulley, revs a bit quicker with it. It's a solid design, (as in no spokes) 0%, did a lot of research and talked to many BMW guys before making my decision. Car runs like a top with no vibrations.

I hear you, it's my daily and I need mine for a long time also. I messaged a lot of guys on this forum who ran them for tens of thousands of miles without issues. There's a guy on here who helped develop the tritech who commented on the question.

Nice...Thanks for the attachment. I can't find the 2%. Just the 4% I think it would be over kill no?
Hey guys, people have gone over this before, but it has been proven again and again that a solid crank pulley is fine to run on the MINI R53. We've been selling these for well over 10 years, and have had customers drive on them for hundreds of thousands of miles and I haven't heard of anyone have any problems with their engines. If you guys want, I can probably dig up the original thread about it!
