My wife has Mini fever!

I can't believe it but I bought my wife Mini on Saturday. She has gone crazy over this car. I had been talking to my MA at Mini of Nashville telling him that my wife was really thinking about trading in the minivan for a real Mini. So, he emailed me on Thursday last week and said he had a MC40 sitting on the showroom floor and wanted to know if I was interested. I told him to run some numbers and let me know what the payment would be like. He got back with me, but I told him the payment was too high. Not thinking that I would hear from him until my Mini came in he emails me back and says "if I can get $20-25 bucks off the payment would I be interested". So, I told him what I wanted to pay, hoping he was really ready to deal, and he called me about 4 hours later and met my price. After it was all said and done I purchased a MC40 (#794) for $800+ under MSRP.
What's really funny is we have four kids and when my Mini comes in we will have to take both cars everywhere until I can find a old minivan.

It's still hard to believe that in about two weeks I'll own two of these awesome cars!!

You're lucky..you can chuck a kid in the back...we have two Great Pyrennes and they won't fit at all  I have to keep the Minivan!

BTW - just in case you don't know...avoid the GM V6 minivans. The intake gasket is prone to failure. In a sedan or pickup it's not that bad..as it's accessable. In a minivan the whole enchilada has to come out the bottom to replace the gasket. DAMHIKT!

Don't buy another minivan! Buy another mini and become a 3 mini family! You could be Italian Jobbers!

I think the only thing that's going to cure her is constant driving! She said last night that it's so cute and so pretty that she doesn't want to get it out of the garage and get it dirty. I just told her drive it and enjoy because I can always give it a bath.

There's only one car I would have that will seat six and that's a 1987 Buick T-Type (Turbo V6) with a front bench seat. Nothing like hauling the family around VERY quickly!
