the 3rd brake light cracked up after 10 years. As I was installing the new light, I plugged it in ... and when I went to unplug.. the connect on the car side came off its wires... and then was stuck in the light connector.

WHERE DO I FIND A NEW CONNECTOR FOR THE CAR SIDE?????

Junk yard? I dont see MINIs in junkyard in my neck of the woods.

I've made the appointment with the local shop.. but would like a idea of the solution.. so I'll know if they are feeding me a line... IF you know what I mean.

 

Give Waylen over at Way Motor Works a call, last I knew he had a few cars he was parting out, he may have that section of body harness left over and can cut it out and send it to you. You'll just have to solder it in or have the shop do it.

 

Thanks nkfry.... I actually got the replacement light from Way... and have been in touch with them. They are gonna see if they can pull that connector off the wiring harness of one of their parted out MINIs

thanks guys, I actually talked to him on the phone today and was able to help him come up with a fix not needing to buy anymore parts. If that doesn't work we're gonna cut one off a wrecked car.
