Just curious, how much double sided 3M tape do/did you use to install a side scuttles. I've seen one thread with an "Overboard approach", but would prefer to be a minimalist when using the double sided tape.
3M makes a double sided molding tape which I thought would be a good choice.
I was thinking of using a 2-3" piece of this tape in each of the four sides to hold the scuttle in place. Since the scuttle is light weight and remains stationary on the side of the car. I figured you wouldn't need a large amount of tape to hold it in place. Additionally, if it ever had to be removed, Smaller pieces of tape would be much easier to deal with.
I would measure the tape thickness , then measure the depth of the back of the scuttle to the body. Then run it around the boarder, press and hold and make sure its secure . You don't want one flying off at autobahn speeds
