anyone can tune for nitrous man...
But most don't build for it.....
Like your stating
Enjoy the nos....
I'll make power efficiently
You keep talking about adding all of this "efficient" power with a meth kit.....but unless you tune for the meth by adding more timing, adding a meth kit on a stock mini s doesn't really add much power....if you get any more power at all, its from a cooler intake charge. Even the guys that have special tunes aren't really making all that much more power and TQ from adding the meth alone.

Prove me wrong....show me a before and after dyno graph on a mini that's not tuned for meth....I'd be surprised if it even gained 10hp peak.

Meth just lets you run a little more timing and cools down the intake charge....its not really a "power adder". Nitrous is a power adder....

Search through the forums.....not much proof to back up all this power you say people get with meth kits....it has its place, but its never going to take the place of nitrous.

VWhy are we even talking if this is about untuned cars.....
Now it's even more pointless...your telling me your going to inject 75hp on a stock map regularly.....what a joke.

Look meth additions to forced induction cars is beneficial in so many ways especially because of how much extra boost you can run.
There is a reason nos has the nick name "poor mans turbo" ....it's a crutch
You want to do something right...then let it be on your MINI. These are clever cars and can benefit when actual tuning occurs( i/e permanent power mods)

I'm not claiming it makes more power by itself....because when I talk about racing cars...most I know of that want to be taken seriously are tuned...not stock ecu cars
You could benefit more from tuning your car and setting up a support to run nitrous...
I'm just saying that because it's been done that way forever...
guess your the game changer tho

My new block is built and forged and I had a custom head made with softened chambers and small intakes and ceramic treated which I plan on hitting a reliable 100hp shot. I actually have codeveloped plug and play kits for the mini with multiple tier features to fit any budget starting at $450 and the all out kit at $1000. The lower kits run a progressive 30-50hp shot and are perfectly safe on a stock motor. The advanced 2 stage runs up to over 100 but methanol, timing adjustment and a built block are required. If interested I can show you options at your budget. It's a blast, and a shame we've been shy to I, but our block and already strong factory internals are made for it.
I know this is an old thread. But you have the kits available ? I tried to PM but it’s full.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I love nitrous, I've ran it on my drag cars for years. But saying that the R53's "love" nitrous, and they will easily take a 75hp shot is nuts. Now, if you want to say that a fully forged, tuned, and built engine in an R53 will take a 75hp nitrous...fine. But putting that on a stock engine is a disaster waiting to happen.

I can't remember the TV show, but it was something I saw on Motortrend TV last year. These guys has a newer regular mini (not turbo), and put a 75hp shot on it....and took it to the track. Dead stock, no tune.....and it lasted a couple of laps before they melted a hole in a piston. That's about as real as it gets.
