R50/53 Driver Window no go / 2003 r50

Driver Window no go / 2003 r50

When I try to "push" down the driver window switch all I am getting is a click noise from under the dash somewhere.. It went out semi breif before but then started working again...

Also my hood/hatch light is illuminated..


did driving my mini on the beach at high tide ruin some electrics..

Maybe. Saltwater and electronics don't mix.

If you got water in the body control unit it def ruined something, but otherwise window motors are a fairly common failure.

for the hatch light need to do some diag to figure that out.

Where's the body control unit.

Does any one know where the sensors are for the hood and rear hatch ?

IF you drive your car out on a beach (saltwater), I would have hoped you spent an appropriate amount of time afterwards cleaning the car with fresh water (wash off all the saltwater residue and sand particles from under the hood and all the cracks and crevices).

This is a good general rule for ANY vehicle... including boats and boat trailers.

Motor on!

Check the BCM , it might have gotten wet, its in the kick panel in the foot well.
