Installation costs

What should I expect to pay for an INSTALLED Aero Kit and Driving Lights?

Global Imports (www.atlantamini.com) is asking $2780 for the aero kit and $795 for the lights.

Assuming it is the full aero kit with front and rear bumpers and side skirts the price will vary from about $2500 to $3500 as sometimes the wheel arches are painted.

Prices vary on the lights- which set of lights? 2 or 4? I'd say $600 on up.

I paid about $728 for the standard MINI accessory driving lamps (2 lamps) last September at my dealership. The list price for the parts was $400 in the MINI accessory catalog, and I paid $300 for labor and I think about $28 tax.

Alternatively, there's a million candlepower spotlight that plugs into your lighter at Costco - I think they're south of $20.

It says MINI, but the parts are priced like a BMW...

The dealer-installed driving lights on JerseyGirl's MCS were $895 at Princeton MINI (who are notorious price-gougers). From what I vaguely remember looking at showroom cars with aero kits, AtlantaMINI's price seems normal.

For the aero-kit, I'd probably buy it seperately, have it painted at a local body shop, and install it myself, then sell the OE pieces to re-coup some cost. I know from experience the front bumper isn't hard to remove and reinstall. I doubt the other bits are any more difficult.

The aero kit option was $2500 installed...and my dealer said I am getting a

great deal.

If I was go buy another MCS, I would buy the kit separately and install it
myself.

dude! That IS a great price! Don't forget all those body bits have to be painted properly, dried, then installed properly!
