2005 MINI steering wheel

Is it true the U.S. 2005 model MINIs come standard with the 2-spoke wheel? Somebody told me the other day the 3-spoke wheel is going to be standard on all cars on this side of the pond, but I didn't think this was the case

Sorry, the 3 spoke wheel will be the standard wheel in the US, no more 2 spoke.
