R50/53 Seafoam and first time at an autocross
Seafoam and first time at an autocross
Howdy;
This coming weekend, I'm taking the Blue Meanie for its (and my) first time on an autocross track. Wish me luck and I'll take all pointers from you pros.
Also, I just bought some Seafoam, but it didn't really have any instructions. I bought just a small bottle, probably for one dose. Do I need to do it twice in 2 tankfuls? I've heard it'll smoke a bit blowing out the crap. How long does this take and do I just rev it up in the driveway for awhile or go out and drive it like I stole it?
Thanks and motor on.
'05 MCS stock (so far) aiming for sway bar, pulley soon to start...

Welcome.
I'd say leave the car alone until after you autox it and then decide what you want to do from there.
Seafoam you can just put in the tank, but if you've been running a good 93 (shell, bp) it probably won't do too much.

Sure. The mods will come probably next spring. Still licking my wounds from moving 1/2 way across the country and then having my MINI needing some semi-serious work plus new tires and brakes. No more RF's! Yay!
