Okay I have faith again.... haha. I got the injectors seated back into the manifold last night with new orings, was able to sand down the vacuum line a hair, and then put a slight bit of oil on it to get it down thru the o-ring, the 2 feet that DIDNT break off on the S/C clip holds the line in nice and tight actually! So I then hooked back up the fuel rail.

Tonight I HOPE to have most of it all back together and possibly even to the point of being able to fill her full of antifreeze and crank her over (HOPEFULLY)

I do however have one little tube on the left side of the intake that I have no idea where it plugs back into (skinny little hard plastic hose?) but i'll have to look that up once i get home. Hey, you're doing great, hang in there. What you are dealing with is all the little "tricks" someone experienced with this specific model knows, and you are learning them (frustrating? yes). The little plastic connectors break if you dont know exactly how to handle them. When i serviced my s/c, the two problems i had: getting that vacuum tube that goes in to the back of the s/c into the red connector all the way; didn't want to force it to get it to seat all the way in for fear of breaking something. The other problem i had was not getting the s/c-to-IC boot seated correctly, and ended up with a vacuum leak there (which would cause the motor to die as soon as it warmed up). I took extra care to try to connect the boot properly, but still failed, so be careful with this one, hopefully you will do better than I on it. Seating the IC boots is another "trick", and i don't know what it is. sry

 

Just want to clarify that the fuel tube's rubber boot here on the right indeed plugs into this hard plastic connector that comes thru on the left side of the intake manifold? Making sure because then that means that everything else is plugged into it's proper hole and its mount the intercooler time

 

also I don't know what that rubber elbow is called that's on the fuel rail... it's pretty rotted and I should probably change it before I put the intercooler back on

 

nm... nobody said anything so I just ran with instinct. I installed the radiator and got everything. plugged back in and
fluids topped off. She's purring like a kitten and
no leaks! Also have some really good ac blowing...maybe because I
changed the air filter

 

I got her all back together and drove her for a bit around midnight... WOW huge difference! the car all of a sudden pushes me back in the seat!! Thanks to everyone for all the help... 6 week project of overhauling everything and I can't wait to
drive her to
work In the
cool early morning...windows down listening to that awesome new supercharger >=)
