Something to gauge by?

This info may or not help. I am in my early 50's and have a clean record thus far (but Mini may ruin that ). I saw my insurance increase slightly when replacing a '98 Plymouth Breeze with a '04 Mini Cooper. For myself my premiums increased $100 a year

Another point of reference...male, married, 28, suburban location, clean record. I pay about $650 for the year for the MCS with $250 comp/$500 coll deductibles and good coverage. Rate went up about $30/yr from my 2003 VW Golf GL with base 2.0L four, and I'm about even with my wife's 2000 Golf 1.8T.

I'm an unmarried 22 y/o male, very urban location.

I pay $900 for 6 months, or about $150 per month. As I recall when I was getting quotes originally, there was a difference of about $8/month for me to get an MCS instead of my Cooper CVT.

Mini S is least expensive insurance on my schedule. About $440/year, with $50/$250 deductible, and $250k limit.

If i remember correctly, it didnt cost really anything to be insured on my moms 530i sport. Lets just say, at first, once i got my beast about 1 month after i was 16, with full coverage and everything, they wanted 6k a year because of me being 16 and havin a brandy new car. . The mom did this . Lets just say, we did a bit of work and brought it down. Just a fare warning for you....

As a point of reference, I am paying $1600.00 as an unmarried, under 25 male. I turn 25 in a month, so the rate should drop another $170.00 or so per 6 months. I've been with State Farm for 8 years.

Cheers,
-Justyn

Unmarried male, 25yo, with a MC. Suburban location.

(lol...it's like a personals ad...)

Anwyay, before I turned 25, it was $700/6mo with $500 collision/comp deductibles, and 100/300/300 limits from State Farm.

After I turned 25 and inherited a beater truck (multipolicy!) I'm paying $530/6mo.

I've been with State Farm for 3 years now.

But there are innumerable variables here:
- age
- driving record
- age of policy
- crime rate in your area

Liability coverage for me is $153/6mo.

Holy smoke. I'm 51, been with Allstate TOO many years, and 500 deductable with 100/300/100 (or is that 300/100/300), anyway, $534 every 6 months. No tickets (on record) or accidents. Should be cheaper, huh.
