R50/53 '05 S Mudflaps?!
'05 S Mudflaps?!
Greetings, all.
Relatively new here. Got an '05 Cooper S (auto, unfortunately :P) about two months ago. Only had 5,100 miles from new when purchased. I'm looking to preserve her looks as long as humanly possible.
My questions for mods:
1. I would like to get a clear bra installed on her front fascia/hood. What brands or products would you suggest?
2. I'm looking at front and rear mudflaps as well. I'd really like the kind that actually flap - as seen on mean-looking rally cars as well as Evos and STis. Anyone know some decent brands? She's British Racing Green, chrome mirror inserts, black roof. I was thinking black flaps with white lettering on them. Rallyarmor perhaps?
Question about Coolant issue:
I've noticed that my coolant level seems to drop from time to time - not necessarily on a consistent basis but it has been noticed. It appears as though there's liquid residue/dried white substance around the reservoir for the coolant. I noticed a small puddle within what I think are the supports for the engine - thick metal support underneath the engine, cradling it, with recesses on the top side. It will slowly drip and pool some days underneath the car, and I have been unable to spot exactly where it's coming from. The engine doesn't overheat at all - still runs at normal operating levels. I've heard that a cracked/defective coolant reservoir or overflow? may be causing this. Relatively routine/expected/inexpensive repair from what I've heard. I would really appreciate any feedback/suggestions/comments that you fellow Mini owners have. If it's more helpful I can upload some pictures from the engine bay.
Keep Motoring!

Hello Joe,
1. MINI has a factory kit = Invisishield

2. There are factory fronts ( 82160136806 ), which look petty good and mold to the factory rocker. No factory rears anymore , they are NLA.

3. Coolant: check the expansion tank also great to check the thermostat housing locations on the side of the engine block. . If its on the back side on the main support subframe its most likely the expansion tank.
