R53 Mystery Drain Hose under car??

Hello NAMers!

So, had the car washed yesterday and parked the car in garage overnight. In the morning there was a large puddle of water directly under the car coming from an open rubber hose I cannot identify. See attached picture. You can see a drop still hanging at edge. This has been draining for 2 days!

It's not motor fluid of any kind. It's perfectly clear and has no smell. So, I'm assuming it's just rain water or in this case rinse water from getting the car washed. But, where the heck is this coming from???

I poured water in the sunroof rails and the front drains lead the water to the outside rear corners of the front wheel wells, so it's not from the sunroof drains.

I have a Bentley manual, but not knowing which part of the vehicle this assembly might belong to, I can't find a reference to it.

Thanks for any info!

That's the drain for water that condenses from the a/c.
This happens in the summer with the a/c on and during the rest
of the year when you use the a/c for defrost function.
If it clogs up, water pools up in the a/c-heat-ventilation housing.

Cristo, thanks for the info! On most vehicles this just drips straight down from the condenser itself. I'll have to look over this assembly to make sure all is good and nothing clogged. Do you know where I should look? What location does this hose lead to? Is it accessible or does a bunch of dismantling need to occur?

Don't bother looking over the system. It's doing exactly what it's suppose to do.

If it is draining....all is OK...don't go overly OCD on us....sometimes some things are best left undisturbed....
No mataintance is needed....let it be. It is working as intented.

Ha ha Zip! OCD is my middle name!! I have an innate need to understand how everything works! I'll take everyone's word for it and leave this alone. I definitely don't need more projects! It just concerns me that there was what appeared to be way more water than I would expect for this and also the fact that it kept draining for several days. That's a lot of condensation unless outside water gets in there too...
