Our Cooper S project car is currently on the way to the Las Vegas SEMA Show. Since our office is in Ormond Beach, Fla., that means the car will be spending a lot of time on I-10 this weekend. Pictures of the car in "SEMA trim" can be found in the project car section of our Web site. And in about a week, look for the car on I-10 once again....

Can you tell us when the December issue of GRM will come out?

My subscription started with the last issue, and I can't wait for the big MINI issue!!!

P.S. I have never put window/bumper stickers on any car that I owned,
but anyone who has seen my pure silver MC motoring around N. Fla recently will attest that it is now sporting a GRM sticker!

John,
Where did you get the sticker? Will Grassroots mail me one if I request it?

The December issue is in the mail, so it should start landing soon. (The magazines mail from our printer in Lebanon Junction, Ky.) As for stickers, they're free to our readers. Just send me an e-mail at grmdavid@aol.com, and I'll take care of it. Please remember to include your mailing address, as we don't yet have the technology to e-mail them.

Go to their website... www.grassrootsmotorsports.com

They sell the stickers. Well worth the price of $1 (if I remember correctly) for a cool semi-transparent window sticker.

They also have updates about their MINI project cars on the website!

Seems I can never beat the masses to Border's Books in time to get a copy of GRM. I usually buy about 4-5 issues a year, so I'm not looking for a full subscription. But I am really, really interested in getting a copy of the December issue. Is there a way to buy a single issue online somewhere???

You can buy single issues through our Web store for $6.75 each including shipping. Of course, a $19.95 subscription is probably a better value.

David--

Just bought my first issue (I found one hidden on a magazine rack in Philly). It's a great looking magazine, and the article on the MINI is certainly different than I've seen in other car mags. Also makes me wonder if I should have ordered the S...but I think I'll stick with it...

Good luck at SEMA, and I look forward to more MINIs in Grassroots.

Looks like the car made it to Vegas just fine, and it's being detailed right now. At noon Vegas time, the Cooper S rolls into the SEMA Show.
