wait i can get mpg and hp ? is this for real im very skeptical but im kinda new to MINIS...what are the bad things about this plug in? i posted a link to open auction... it cant be this easy....

I'm guessing it's just a way to get your money. The mini ECU's have to be "flashed" to change them....you can't just plug in some chip to change the tuning on mini's.
There is no "cheap" tuning options for a mini.
If you are wanting to add some cheap power, look it a new supercharger pulley....maybe a 15% or 17%. That's about the cheapest bang for the buck you can get.

Link isn't working, but I'm going to answer anyway: No! Not only do the Minis have to be flashed, but so is 99% of any recent cars. Those "chips" are just a resistance in a box, messing up with real datas to inject more fuel as the car think that the air is colder. That's how they work most of the time.
The real chips used to be electronic boards that you had to replace by soldering them inside the ecu box. I'm tempted to say that it pretty much stopped in the 90s. With ecus now, there's nothing that you can really mess with unless you reflash them.
