Yes, but you have to have it running Win XP through bootcamp or similar.

 

Resurrecting this thread to ask what cable you guys have used with NCSExpert on your R53? Not much info out there on what specific software and cables work with R53's.

Still had to modify it to make it work on my R53. (solder pin 7 and 8 together).

 

But it does work for the R53? And did you get the NCS software from here (INPA-6.4.3)? I'm just concerned about setup at this point, there seems to be a lot more info out there on the actual coding than getting the tools ready.

 

I got all software and a cable from here. Plug and go and I did not have to modify anything.

Yes. I bought it for use with my car (see signature). It is a 2004 R53.

As for NCS Expert software, I don't recall exactly where I got it. I do know that I followed one of the guides here on NAM and was able to get the software and the cable working just fine and peachy for my car.

 

I am finally getting to install the few factory kits that I bought back in 2004 for my 05 MCS. I have installed the alarm kit and close to finishing off the front and rear fog lights. If I can enable them with this tool I rather not going to the dealer to have them blessed.

I know it has some learning curve but I am will to invest some time banging my head. I love being able to change some convenient settings like one touch window up.
