Complain on Mini's facebook page for common problems.
This is the message I will be writing to Mini as a owner that has replaced multiple parts on the car:
Dear Mini,
I have owned my 2005 mini for some time. Since then, I have replaced my supercharger at 80k due to bearings going out, my aisin transmission valve body at 80k, wheel bearings at 80k, and my power steering has been replaced 4 times due to leaking tubes, everybody seems to have an issue with the passenger seat air bag sensor being broken. These are common problems which are posted on the mini forum’s commonly.
Mini needs to own up to their car design and provide an extend warranty for these issues or a recall fix.

So like the guy did with the footlong from subway that was less than a foot. Everybody should go to the Mini page to like my complaint.

Have you ever...
Owned a Nissan or a Chevrolet for almost 10 years and not have major items fail? Nissan Senta, Murano, Chevrolet Cavalier?
How about my 2010 Prius that has 93k miles on it without ONE THING Failing with aggressive driving and 150+ miles a day.
VS.... My 2005 Mini Cooper S...
Let's go down the list shall wee:
Daytime running lights programming failed at 50k
All remotes stop opening trunk
Oil pan gasket -
Power steering - 4 x
Glove box latch broke -
Transmission valve body -
Supercharger -
Shocks fail at 50k with premature tire wear.
Wheel speed sensors all 4, tmap, map sensor, all at 65k.
4 Wheel bearings -
This excludes oil changes every 7500 miles, spark plugs and wires every 30k, intake every 10k, brake pads, and rotors, cleaning throttle body, tmap and map sensor cleaning.
My Mini is at 93k.
PS. all i have done to the Prius is change the oil and intake filter.

yepp
That timing chain was a known problem as well, with the release of the new motor. I am waiting for everybody's valve body to fail on the new Mini's because they used the same platform for all of them!
I just drove a friend's Veloster S with 5000 miles on it. Ewww. Be careful what you ask for.
