This car is so fun to drive, I can't stay within the speed
limit. Not on highways, and barely on city streets.
Yet, after 21 months and 41k miles, I still have had
no speeding tickets. How's everyone else doin'?

Godspeed.

Three tickets in 19 years. None with my MC (knocking on wood, fingers crossed, rubbing rabbit's foot, etc...).

None so far in 24K miles. I average one every 3 years or so, so it'll probably happen eventually.

I am sure to jinx myself here. No speeding tix in probably 16 or more years. I stopped using a radar detector around '90. And it's not like I havent had plenty of opportunities. I dont think I ever drive the speed limit on the highway; just keeping up with flow around here is at least 10-20 over the limit. I am generally passing them. Triple digits have not been uncommon for stretches during some long trips.

I am not gonna get any more specific than that.

Only one in my MCS. Just your basic dry-country rural small town city limits speed trap. . . .

The officer was hiding in the bushes next to the sign that indicated that the speedlimit had dropped from 55 to 40. Caught me going 57 which was 17mph over.

A friendly tip I learned after telling my neighbor about it:

He told me to be very careful when entering unfamiliar rural counties in the South. Remember to look in the windows of the first gas station and if there are not beer signs in the windows, you better be on your best behavior. . . .

No speeding tickets so far, just a ticket for stopping "too close" to the railroad tracks

No tickets of any sort in 48k miles of MINI driving. I'm well aware of small-town speed traps and they are certainly not limited to the South. Got my last speeding ticket in 1989 and I hope it really was the last.

Yep, first speeding ticket with the Mini or in any car. Cop lied, said I was going 10miles over what I was really doing. I was doing 45 in a 40, but still was lying. Fought it but lawyer was crooked, yeah which one isn't. ...

After 15 months in the MCS I have no tickets. No valentine 1 either.
Driving since 1975, two tickets, last one in california about 2 blocks from my house in 1985 in a Honda civic sedan.
My MINI is IB/W and invisible.

No tickets in 8 months. Lots of close calls but I really pay attention for cops when speeding.

18 years of driving, probably...oh, 12-15 tickets. I had one stretch where I had 4-5 in a 12 month period (3 within 60 days). *sigh* Now I average one every 3 years or so. Last one was in late March - officer claims to have laser'd us @ 81 in a 55 zone. Complete crap since we were going 70 (we both observed the speedometer at the time of the laser), and had left a 65 zone less than 3 miles before. Our court date is in Sept.

Lost track I've had so much. I got my first one the day I got my learners license. Pretty nice. But after the lecture, he had more of a desire to ask questions about and look at my MCS then a desire to write me up. Schweeet!
Cheers,
