Few Pictures from my HID retrofit

My car came with stock D1S reflector hids, and auto levelers. I upgraded them to the newer style projector lights but their d2s projectors SUCKED, so after about 20 emails back and forth with Matt (TRS) we got set on Mini H1's. Here are some pictures more to follow with my good camera.

very cool, I had RX330 AFS projectors with a custom sheild and tsxr clear lens but the bowl was way to wide to fit. how did you mount yours? Do you have any pictures?

depending on which ballast you had it MAY work. Using ballast from an 02-04 non projector hid headlight is your best bet, their igniters are like the hella gen3 ballasts.

I personally took out the stock ballast to put in TRS 35watt ballasts

oh i see. but the gen3 hella ballast may not fit the stock connector of my 05-06 projector hid headlights right? currenly im using gen5 matsu but it is mounted on the bottom(outside)part of the headlight. i think it will get wet. I'm thinking of just putting an ordinary ballast so it is waterproof hehe...

i'd go with hella ballasts, or the morimoto ones from TRS. did you test to make sure the highbeam and the low beam line up properly since they are single xenon? also did you measure the forward distance from the lens to the stock bracket? if you notice when put together, the stock projector only sits about 1/2" from the inside of the headlight lens. So if you are anything past that, the shroud and/or the projector lens will rub.

we just finished one headlight we will continue tomorrow for the other. it was really tight. i'm not sure if the shroud is touching slightly the lens. but i'm sure the projector doesn't touch the headlight lens.

Very nice, I talked to Matt at TRS when I did my retro about 2 years or so ago and I opted for the D2S projectors, next time I will do the H1 as it is a bit smaller.
