When I turn my car ignition off, the inside light stays on unless I reach up an turn it off. Does this happen to anyone else? All the doors are closed, so it isn't a partly opened door. Any thoughts?

How long do you let it sit before you turn it off manually?
There is a delay circuit.

Weird. Mine just started doing the same thing. I had one of my son's friends in the back seat one day last week and I'm thinking he tinkered with something. You'd think it would be an easy fix, but I haven't figured it out yet. I have to manually switch it off each time.

Push in on the center button on the overhead lamp until it flashes. This button controls the on-offs on the inside lamps..Got this from this thread awhile back.

I found that if you don't open the door the light will stay on, thinking you are still getting ready to get out. Once door is opened and closed, timer starts. I also found, after standing in the dark garage one night, that if you turn (dome) light on with doors closed, car off, key out that the light will go out eventually. So never killing the battery.

Don't know for sure, but the dealer may be able to shorten the time the interior light stays on

That was not very appropriate. This forum tends to answer questions when asked instead of just saying stuff like that.

That would be one reason I actually enjoy this forum over others. Persons often reply with answers, not stupid replies like "RTFM".

Personally I thought it hilarious and quite appropriate. A bit of humour doesn't hurt anybody.

Now if I could just read that manual.
