I picked up a pair of lights on ebay but they came with no instructions. I have them installed but not wired up yet. I would love to wire them so that they are on whenever the driving lights are on, rather than just with the high beams or just the low beams. If anyone could tell me what wire to tap into from the headlight assembly harness, and the best place to go get a ground I'd be so happy!

BTW, this has xenon.

My PIAA's had three wires to hook-up. I wired my fogs to come on when I pressed the PIAA on/off button, no matter what headlight beam I had on. This is what I did;

-Black goes to a good body ground

-Red went directly to positive (+) battery terminal

-Last one I tapped directly into brake pedal hot wire. Key has to be on for power. I picked this location because of easy access. This way if I forget to turn off foglights, when I remove the key no power at brake light switch-or dead battery.

Good luck!

Dealerships only will hook them up to come on with
your brights. I was disappointed with this, but now
that I've had mine for nearly two years, I'm convinced
it's the best way to go. If your turn out like mine, they
are REALLY bright.

Godspeed.

I appreciate all of the help. but my lights just have two wires, a hot and a ground. There is no switch. I'll have to wire them somehow so that they switch on with either the highs, the lows, or are on all of the time. Do you know what color wires from the harness power what features of the xenon light modules?

Tap into the wire that powers the highbeams. I threw out my PIAA instructions, but I believe it is a black/green wire coming into the driver side headlight assembly. Tomorrow morning I will check to confirm this if someone else has not done so already.. .

I thought driving lights were only supposed to work with low beams? Am I wrong?

Yes. You are wrong. The driving lights should only be used in conjunction with your high beams. They are much too bright to run all the time. In fact, doing so can get you a ticket in a lot of states.

Fog lights are used with the low beams.

And the high beam wire is green and yellow

Run a power wire from your battery/fuse panel through a inline fuse to a relay.

Run a line from the relay to power the lamps.

Run a wire from the relay to a ground.

Run a ground from the lamps to the car frame.

Splice a wire into your high beam wire and run to the relay to switch it on/off....

easy peasy you have fogs activated by the high beams.....this will all become more understandable with the instructions/diagram accompanying the relay.
