I have the same problem, its a result of the position of the seat to the windshield. I noticed if I lowered the height of the seat the problem is solved. But I don't like driving with the feeling of sitting inside a bucket, I prefer having the seat up high, so I have the same problem you do.

I really like siting low in the car ,,, my seat is right at the bottom.my legs are out straight
no pressure ,the seat back is up right but I can rest my head on the head rest .If you are tall I can see this car being a problem,for long drives,as you can't move around in your seat.My leg does not rest on the post or the door.
