R50/53 July 1st 2004 Changes on the new models

I am about to get my first Mini Cooper S, but when I saw that all the S models production after July 1st 2004 will come with a 170hp, and other new features... I decided to wait to see if the current model price will go down or if the new cooper S will have a bigger price. Does anybody have some information about this? :???:
