This is not exactly a joke. .... I am a Free Lance writer & photographer and new mini owner. So instead of shooting the standard fare (Civile War Battle reenacrments, etc.) I am wanting to attend my first MINI-MEET and thus will try and mix business with pleasure and cover the Dragon Days this weekend .... and hopefully sell it somewhere ... or just use it for fun. BUT THE WARNING IS REAL. I am going to attempt to mount my camera equipment -- still & video -- on my roof, out my sun-roof .... so if you happen to be following me... watch out for flying cameras. And if you can avoid running over one should it NOT hit you, I would be greatly appreciative. ..... Respectfully .... BuckDodgers (the name refers to the fact that I can NEVER seem to be able make a buck at anything I try ...FYI)

I'll try not to run over your fly-cam! LMAO!!! Good idea to cover the Meet. Be sure to attend the Dragon's Breath Chili Cook-Off on Friday and chat with Babswife and myself, the co-hosts of the event, and come meet the other judges.

If you haven't already done so, Buck, print out a copy of the Dragon Event Schedule Mark has created here on NAM. The link is accessible on NAM's homepage or at the top of the Pulse.

And the "mods" on your MINI are awesome, tee hee!

If that DirecTV antenna doen't pick up HDTV signals I'm not interested!

We actually had a member launch his 3 week old digital camara off his roof in the Antietam Battlefield during our last run. Sadly the camera didn't survive it's flight...

I am registered for the Smoky Mt. Speed/Time/Drive thing PLUS was going to attend the muffler shoot out .... so I didn't think I would be able to make the cook-off and thus didn't register. I'll at least try and stop by for a few pics of the judging. By the way, have there been any O-Zone warnings for the day of the Cook-Off? I would think we are going to hear a lot more reving than just mini-motoring .... catch mu drift. wink-wink-nudge-nudge?

Buck, the organizers of the shoot-out are coming to the Chili Cook-Off, so I suggest that you do the same! Check out the RSVP list for the Potluck portion, and bring something to share with the throngs! We are at 127 people (that we know of), and I'm sure there will be others that just show up, not realizing that they could have/should have RSVP'd! LOL!!

Yeah - I'm planning on going to the shoot-out and need to start cooking chili at about the same time. In fact, maybe I should just place my pot of chili next to someone's Magnaflow. Instant heating and added flavor!

My Old Man had a 1930 Model-A and it had a metal pot that attached to the engine so that the heat from it would keep food warm ... maybe cook it ... I don't know. But it was a cool accessory. The Model-A clubs today still use the motor-cooker-attachments and by the time they get to their club's destination, their food is ready. Unfortunately there isn't much room around an engine now-a-days for a crok-pot connector.

That is cool. I'll put that on my future mod wish-list... maybe in time for the 2005 dragon's breath chili cook-off.

I cover my intercooler with bacon every morning, and eat it when I get to work.

What aspect ratio will you be filming in? I'm a junkie for 2.85:1

also, LOVE those side mirrors you, ahem, added. definitely no excuse for cutting someone off!

What part of Ohio are you coming from? Perhaps you'd be interested in joining us for our Caravan from Michigan down I-75. We're already picking up Minzila in Lima, OH, and a handful of MINIac's in Cincinnati. Let me know.

Cheers,
Ryan

So, you probably have those mirrors so you can see while you're pulling your Airstream, right?

I'm on the opposite side of the state and will take I-77 down Thursday. It would have ben nice to go with a group. But I have no set schedule other than arriving in time to get a new pulley installed at the Helix-Pulley Party
