Hey guys,

My girlfriend absolutely loves the mini cooper, and after seeing some run at auto-x I'm impressed with them.

I was wondering if there is anyone in Ithaca, NY that would be willing to let my girlfriend drive one in exchange, I'll let you drive my 99 BMW M3. Don't worry, she can drive stick...she owns a 2000 civic EX 5 sp and drives my car all the time.

Any takers?

Free free to Email or PM me.

If someone lives in say syracuse and has one, I might be willing to drive into town and meet them as well.

Thanks.

-Allen

I guess this is what I get for living in the middle of nowhere...

The closest mini dealer is like 100+ miles from me.

It's not that you are in the middle of nowhere....the problem is finding a MINI owner who would let a complete stranger's girl friend drive his MINI !

I know my girl friend has only driven my MINI twice in twenty months.....and we've been married 34 years !

Or do what I did:

Drive many hours to a MINI dealer to test drive an MCS that they sell as you walk in the door. Still got to drive a different one that was not for sale...then ignore every other car you ever dreamed about buying in your budget because you can only think about how great the MINI is....then call ever dealer in your region to find one you like and loose three in a row by not reacting fast enough with the deposit....then putting $1000 down on a car that is not in the US, you have not seen, from a dealer in another state...then get a ride with a fashion model and her gay assistants to chicago (purely by bizzare chance, my bosses-friends-wife) who has a fashionable shoe store in the town....then take a train....then the MINI salesperson picks me up from the train station on his day off to complete the deal....then almost hit two dear on the highway going 5 hours back home at 80+...their hoves were on the white line, they could have been trying to thumb a ride....

The trip was almost as great as the car.

I think if I got $10 for every person who asked to drive it I could pay it off.
