A little undercover reporting turned up this Chrysler Concept Car at the Laguna Capri Test Track in S.Cal. Said to be "on the drawing board" for 2006 release. Chrysler Officials said they expect droves of Mini owners to abandon Cooper and flock to the new PT-Micro-GT-Cruiser. When asked why Chrysler expected loyal Mini owners to change to the PT-M-GT-C, one official replied, "The PT Cruiser is the No.1 car in the country. Sales of over 500,000 vehicles proves it. Afterall. Most people are just like sheep and will buy whatever is popular and cheap." When asked how many of those 500,000 PT Cruiser were still on the road, the same official retorted, "We don't keep those statistics, we're only interested in selling a cheap product at a damn good margin. Hey. If it dies in 4 years, that means they'll be back for more!" ....
I thought I heard something somewhere that the MINI was actually the most popular car in the country right now. That being the reason that they weren't offering any incentives on 'em.
>>I thought it was a custom car for Grimace. McDonalds marketing for that mid 20's young hip crowd...

THAT'S WHAT IT REMINDS ME OF. I couldn't put my finger on it. I can see it.... The New Designer Signature Series -- McDonalds Grimace PT Cruiser! A lifesize Happy Meal toy.
>>That's almost as ugly as the new Toyota Scion xB<<
YuccaPatrol and I had the pleasure of riding in 2minis' new silver Scion xB last week and I thought it was very nice. It's a good addition to a MINI family's fleet, tee hee! I'm thinking it would make a great replacement for our '88 Isuzu Trooper. It gets surprisingly good mileage (I think 37 mpg) and handles really well for a little utility vehicle. I thought it was ugly, too, until they started appearing on the local roads in SoCal. Now, they've really grown on me and I like 'em!
