ID this Connection/Hose Please!

Was poking around and realized this was disconnected on my car. Can you tell me what it is for and why it might be disconnected? Diagram attached.

Car is 2006 MCS.

UPDATE- so whatever this hose is 1) it's what's been making my car run like crap and 2) When I reconnect it and take it for a drive it just pops off again.

Anyone with a fix/link to a part or who can tell me what it is will be my birthday hero. Yes, it's my birthday and a fitting day to finally figure this out

I know why its popping out... Its missing the bright colored snap around it. I forgot what hose it was and the manual is all the way in the garage right now..

Definitely a vacuum hose and you will have to buy the entire assembly as they dont sell the end snaps individually. Unless Way or ECS can hop in and say that they have them.

Ahh thanks- anyone have a part number/link to this?

I wouldn't even be able to get to it without taking the IC off I'm pretty sure. Set out to zip tie it this morning and there wasn't a chance of that happening given the space and me not wanting to accidentally damage any of those other fragile FPR lines right around this one.

The best place I can think to fond a reference since I have left home is pelican parts for a water pump replacement.

http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm

If I remember, this article has that vacuum line.

You're correct. Based on this image in the link you posted, it's the "fuel volume valve vacuum hose". caption on that pic said "The green arrow shows the mounting location of the fuel volume valve vacuum hose at the intake manifold."

I don't see a clip on this in the image, however. And seems this part goes by various names.

Thanks ECS- that's exactly it. Is there a clip that goes on the rubber end (the non-elbow end)? I have it zip tied for now.

Yep, sure thing.

Looks like no clip on the parts diagram. #6 is the part.

Looks like its a push on and hold type.

Thanks
