I got the BMW TIS software off eBay, best 13 bucks I've spent on the MINI. The software is VERY informative but a little confusing. For anyone else who has it do you actually see diagrams of the MINI under the graphics section? No matter what vehicle I select the graphic diagrams always show what looks like an older 5 or 7 series. The Documents and Symptoms sections change when I change the vehicle, just not the graphics section. Any help?

I can't help with your problem. Maybe you can help with mine.

I bought the TIS to diagnose my rear washer not working, and I can't find the routing diagram for the hose.

I can't find out if there are 1 or 2 washer pumps either. That seems like something that should be on the CD.

I also can't find ANY wiring information. I'm not satisfied with this CDROM at all.

I just got it so I'm trying to figure it out still but I found info on adjusting the rear sprayer, removing the front sprayer nozzles, removing the pump, and the tank. Since it doesn't have a pump under the section for the rear wiper system I assume the front and rear share a pump.

I can't find the wiring diagrams (or hose routings) but I'd bet they'd be under the graphics section, however no matter which vehicle I select I get the same diagrams in the graphics section. If you select a Cooper S do you get the diagrams for the Cooper S under the graphics section, or is it just my copy?

You have to do two installs to make it work.

First, on the CD open the Win95 folder, then the BMW folder, and then the TIS folder. Run setup.exe. This will install the BMW SysAdmin program and leave an icon on your desktop.

Second, run SysAdmin from your destop. Select TIS and install. This will install the data files and the TIS program.

After doing the installation I’m not happy with the product! There is very little information - - as though it is just an update disk for an existing TIS installation - - but maybe I just haven’t figured it out yet??????

There is info there, it's going to be different from a true aftermarket shop manual because TIS is designed for trained BMW Techs. For instance if you select the Cooper S and got to documents you can find everthing from fluid capacities to the tightening torques on the mounting screws for the seats. It's not as great as I thought but I think it's worth the $13.00 I paid.
