R50/53 Yet Another color question
The car already stands out in a crowd. Getting one in "flashy"
colors only increases that effect; the car becomes memorable
and more noticeable. Keep that in mind.
That said, mine is LY/B _because_ I wanted it to stand out and
be memorable.

As much as I love CR/B....and I really do....I really think LY is under-represented, both at local club meetings and on the roads. I think LY is just as cheery and cheeky as CR and I've seen some fantastic tuner cars in the MINI mags in both LY/B and LY/LY. If you're "feeling it" go with LY/B. If you want something a tad more conservative, go with CR/B, which is also fantastic.

I still say stick with EB! I still havent seen one car on the road whose color even comes close to EB.

Go with LY/W with white wheels........yes there're hard to keep clean but worth the effort. LY with a checkerboard roof also looks great. Check out the new LY Hot Wheels diecast available at your friendly local Walmart.

CR all the way! I think CR looks better w/stripes, and is less "bumble bee" looking. Although, on the other hand, I've had people tell me my CR looks like a lady bug!
But if you're going for looking different or standing out in the MINI world, go with LY because there really are very few of them, and I am always pleasantly surprised at how bright and cheery they look in person. Both would be a cop magnet!

I ordered LY 'cuz you don't see too many on the road. So, if you would please go with CR so that the LY stays rare that would be just great, Thanks so much.

Call me strange (I've been called worse), but in a crowd of MINIs, the CR/W seems to make the car look smallest, compared to other combinations. This is a good thing IMO!

>>now another question 7 hole or 8 spoke 15" wheels
>>
I think both look good in the Cooper. However, we opted for the 8-spoke 15" silver wheels because these resemble the 17" S-Lites wheels from the MCS and have a more polished look to them.
But if you are going after the totally classic look, the 7-Holeys are right up your alley.
Both 15" factory rims are the lightest of them all and the 7-Holeys are about 1 or 2 pounds lighter than the 8-spoke rims.
