R50/53 Wet Seatbelt
For those who have had this problem, I wanted to post that I found the solution.
For a while now, I've noticed the the seat belt on the passenger side of my O3 MINI was wet when you pulled it out to use it. This happened when the car sat out in the rain or snow for a while. Ironically, it never happened when the car got washed. Go figure!
It's April, the anniversary month I got my MINI. So I had to take it in for it's annual inspections for stickers etc. I mentioned this wet seat belt to the dealership.
They said this is to due a leaky "rain gutter." This is the strip that runs along the top of the car. I do not have a sunroof. Therefore this problem has nothing to do with leaking sunroofs, or anything else.
For those of you who are experiencing wet seatbelts in your car (passenger or driver) tell you dealer to check your "rain gutter."
They are ordering me a new one from England.
