PCV Valve question

So I was told recently that I should look into replacing my PCV valve soon on my 05' r53. I have 96k miles and a couple engine mods. It's only a $20 part, but what will this do for me exactly and do I need to?

-Thanks

Just do it...
If it is stuck the motor can be pressurized, or consume oil.

It comes off real easy, only takes 2 minutes. Blow through it to see if it's clogged. I think I replaced mine needlessly. The old one seemed fine, it's nothing fancy, just a one way valve. Hell, I think you can clean it with some silicone cleaner or wd40.

Yes.

It just a little valve that sets on the passenger side on the engine. Match up the old one. One -7/2004 has a tab and bolts on , the other 7/2004- type screws in

7/2004 -
