scangauge 2 connecting.....

My brand new scan gauge 2 that I bought last week - firmware 4.06 won't connect to my r53 mini. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm really really not happy:S. I appear to be having a bad week!

Anyone no of a secret way around it?

You might try going into the settings on the scangauge to change the system it's trying to use to connect to the car. I have one in my r53, but as its about 2 degrees outside right now, I'm not going to go check what setting its on...lol. If memory serves, it's set to ISO.

Ever try anyother odb2 reader? If the port has an issue could be the car....simple test is to try out an odb2 reader....that will ensure car side is ok, and port is the issue....you could barrow one from a friend or use one of the loaners from a autoparts store to see if you get the same fault....hopefully you just have a bad scanguage...happens with any product sometimes.

I have the 4.06 firmware on my scan gauge and it reads just fine.. So definitely make sure the obd port side is seated properly and also that the r45 cable is clicked into the back or side of the scan gauge...try a bit if trouble shooting...If it's plugged into the back connector...plug it into the side one.

My car is a 2003 MCS btw.
