It looks like it drove under the flat bed of a semi truck and lost it's roof.
Some sort of pre cabrio MINI chopped top.
I bet if it was done right the body needed to be reinforced alot or it would be creaking all over the place on cornering.

Maybe it is only for looks.

It makes our cars look cheap, IMO. Not a fan.

I think it represents some nice creativity! Keep in mind, they are not selling MINI's, they are selling Alpine stereos and this is a demo for that. It isn't actually intented to be driven. It's more creative of a concept than the actual cabrio is.

I love the chop top roadster look. It looks way better than the cabrio. Now if someone could take that Alpine car, put an AWD system in it and bump it up to 300hp, that would be one really, really cool car.

What kind of wheels are those? They almost look like the new 18" OZ Superleggera III's. Is this correct?

Any of you guys get the Crutchfield catalog? This Alpine MCS was all over the most recent one. Check out the interview with the car's designer on the Crutchfield web site.

Here are some pics, too:

There's obvious large amounts of creativity and money into this thing, but like said, too over the top for me. But I'd still give it the thumbs up because it's quite the work of art. It'd be too flashy for me as a daily driver.
Cheers,

The side view looked kinda cool, but when I realized it was that Alpine car...yeah, its way over the top. That side view does have merits, though....maybe someone will to one a bit more conservatively some day.
