R50/53 Is there a diy dashboard removal?
It is super easy.
Open both doors and on either end of the dash you will see a plastic panel. There will be one on each side.
Pop the panel off and you will see two Torx head screws. Remove the two screws.
(do this for each side)
Remove two more screws above the speedometer bezel. They are on an angle into the plastic.
Pull the dash towards you while lifting up. It should come off pretty easy. Some people also choose to remove the TACH but I found no need to do so.
