i got new wheels - and they show lots of brake...
but my brakes look so bad..what can I do - cheaply - not a new brake set. and how effective will it be for the future - ie. not looking like this again in 3 weeks

Well, you can paint your calipers. Cheapest way to go. On your car, black would be very cool, in keeping with the color scheme. You could also get slotted rotors for the fronts (I know the Helix ones look good on the front)
>>How do brakes look "bad"?
I bet you they give you the "evil eye"
I am DYING for RED CALIPERS....where, where do I get proper paint???? PLEASE....no one answered me in the performance forum.....

Hmm.. yes, this seems like the best option.. caliper paint.
I guess I will do that - minipilo sells it - ianyone use that stuff? $10 cheaper, for same result? I was concerned that was a temporary solution.. it is not??
dandp - as for slotted rotors.. yes i agree, awesome looking - a soon-to-be mod!

I have noticed with all the rain in my area that rotors tend to rust pretty easily. Some stock rotors are painted grey so that helps. When the brake calipers are new they are quite shiney.
If you have more funds then upgraded rotors- crossdrilled or slotted look a little better.

stock rear rotor/brakes with upgraded rims

Crossdrilled rotors
Painting calipers and maybe rotor hubs takes time but is fairly low cost.
