Pretty soon. You may have missed the post, but i will be rebuilding the engine. I figured i would add a few things since everything will be out.
Cool - gonna do anything custom on the bottom end or just get it back together again? Also - did you ever get a tune or just run the 380 CCs without any kind or remapping?
No just gonna replace what need replacing. Not looking to get huge power so dont need to build it up. Engine is stoute enough. No i never got tuned for the 380 injectors. Just run them as is. I will get tuned once engine back together and i have broken it in.
Mine cracked and the wire came out of the top. 200K miles.

few more things in the mail... TSW front motor mount. Powerflex bushings for the front swaybar. and the belt tensioner just a few things i didnt do the first time around. i actually need a new motor mount mines pretty shot. these three should compliment the rest of the poly front end.
Good luck with everything!!
NOW, for the Pièce De Résistance. i present a quaife LSD
actually got it last week but was busy. i also forgot to order bearings as well. so i placed an order just now for some diff bearings and races.
I planed to start ripping apart the car on monday but the weather has been awful all of a sudden. maybe tomorrow or thursday i can start.

well today was the nicest day we are gonna have for a while... there were light sprinkles and overcast all day. but made short work of the mini.... only need to pul the axles drop the subframe and pull the engine and trans out.

Then My first problem of the day....
now im gonna have to pull the threaded section out of the crash beam.

Then Problem of two. somehow, i guess a bolt backed out and these two were just dangling and the crank pulley was rubbing against them...

Thats it for today. ill pick this up again next week when we have good weather again, and i need to grab the engine crane from my brothers house.

one side has oil stain from not being shot at by a oil squirter whilw the other side is clean.

crank bearings supports. pulley side to trans side

crank pulley side to trans side.

I think i may be lucky where it wont need a regrind or larger bearings. BUT i need to measure everything. time to break out the micrometers

Yes i did, car is done. started first time. And drives nice. I have a tone of pics to upload and details to add just been very busy. And car is off the road again. Hard line for the rear breaks rusyed through and lost pressure. Waiting for new lines.
WELL.... its been sometime idk 2 years?? and i kept putting off uploading the pics and so here we are lol. here are the rest of the pics. hope they help people.
Pics may or may not be in order... i guess we'll see. there is a lot of missing pictures too... i couldnt find them all.

Carbonite coating on SC pulley (belt has never slipped again)

BTW the steam coming off the inter cooler is the meth we poured on it and its boiling off.
Final numbers were 260whp 221wtrq estimated around 300hp at the crank. this is all done on the factory pre-facelift tune. i never got around to actually getting tuned but i have been told id be well over 300whp if i did.
the "rebuilt" unit i got grenaded so i decided to go electric water pump.
