You're flirting with excommunication..........a MINI with a trailer ceases to be a MINI in my book......

I have to respectfully disagree. I too am looking for a hitch. Currently, when I want to pull my jetski I have to borrow someone's vehicle. . . kind of a pain. Besides, how cool would it be at the boat ramp, amidst the trucks and suv's, to launch a jetski with a MCS!

Done with the right trailer, I think we still have a MINI.

By the way....this isn't mine.

I've never seen one before, but I think Moorlockx is right -- you may be able to keep some of the MINI flavor if you do it right! It also depends on what you'd want to haul, I guess!

OK, I give.....I had visions of a Mini with a U-Haul behind it.....I'm not sure what you'd do if you had an MCS though with the exhaust right in the middle......you'd have to watch out for burns while unhitching I guess......

Not if it's loaded with sticky rubber! I'm looking to do this in the near future.

I have a Hayman-Reese hitch to fit a Cooper (only). It replaces the impact beam and requires spare removal. However, it is extremely heavy duty and rated to tow 1,430# with a tongue weight of 165#. This is more than any US hitch assembly. It installs in about an hour with simple hand tools. It is in as new condition.

(btw, it has a removable tow bar so it is invisible when removed)

You can see it costs $361 AUS ($248 USD) plus and equal amount to ship. This one only is for sale at $200.

Look here: http://http://www.haymanreese.com.au/index.htm

Just recently had a DaLan installed and picked up my trailer this past weekend.

The DaLan is rated at 1,000# with a 100# tounge weight. I pulled my trailer over 600 miles to get it home and it tracked just great. The trailer is light so I got some bouncing on rough roads and lost about 4 mpg, both things to be expected. Very happy with hitch and trailer!

How does the MCS do towing the Tornado? What hitch system did you use? I have a 49er that would look pimp behind my car. (49er previously pulled with my Miata)
