I guess that is what would happen to my gas mileage if my pedal wasn't stuck to the floor after the car starts. That is great mileage!!

 

 

I'm so jealous!!!! I've been getting about 15-20 MPG in my MC. I drive mostly city, but not stop and go traffic.

My MC is all messed up. i drove it from SF to LA a few weeks ago and it wouldn't stay under 80. Totally had a mind of it's own. And then it cost me 30 buck to fill it up in LA.

But

It was kinda fun!

I drove from Scottsdale, AZ to Irvine, CA on one tank last summer....no A/C - avg'ing 75 on the hwy. that's over 470 miles....

What wheels do you have?
Must be the stock 15" skinny wheels?
Better rolling resistance than my 17x7 wheels.
Are you drafting any big trucks or anything?
Coasting along huge downhill stretches?

If i'm good to it, I can get the trip odometer plus the MTE to equal over 500 miles. I have done it twice so far. I never kept the pace long enough to make it though

 

Very good MPG. I also get great MPG. My last 3 tanks have been mid 30's with 60/40 city hiway driving. The car is stock with 16" tires. I am a very easy driver, keeping it at 60-65 and not running over 4000. I also have seen mid 40's on my last road trip.

I don't know how you can get that high of mileage. Drove interstate highway for 400 miles at 65-70 mph on stock MC '03 and only got 31-32. Temp was 20f, so was nor running air cond. Two persons on board with luggage. I think it makes a difference how much weight you are carrying also.

 

My milage sucks! The last 2 weeks (and basically a whole tank) I had my right foot in an aircast, so I was driving very gingerly. No real acceleration at all. I filled up last night and while it was better than the last few tanks, I still only got 19.8 mpg. This was also the 1st tank after cleaning my BMP air filter. Driving hard, I get in the 18s. Best tank I ever got was coming back from Phoenix, when I got 27.7. Would V36 help me?

40mpg! This is like achieving the sub 4 minute mile in long distance running (only now those times are much better). I'll try keeping it to 60-65 mph on long distance highway driving as an experiment next time.

 

I always seem to get 24mpg. I do more back road driving then freeway.

Just paid $2.30/gal here in Las Vegas. My MCS does about 22+/-mpg around town with a pretty heavy right foot. Haven't done a long freeway trip yet but it should be good. Now I've got another reason to feel sorry for the guys in the HUMMERS!

 

I don't feel sorry for Hummer owners in the least bit. As I recall from seeing one on display in a shopping mall once, the window sticker didn't even bother to list EPA fuel consumption ratings. I figured that was a sign- kinda like walking into a really high-zoot jewler's, and not seeing a price tag on some of the items.

Every time I fill the tank, I write down the odometer reading and the number of gallons it took to fill the tank.

Then I use the gnuplot graphing program to make a bar chart.

 

Now that my car has 184 Wheel HP I am getting the best Fuel Milage ever.

I used to avegage 24.5 mpg doing my driving to work, and other things that I always do. Now since I got the new Pilo Racing Cylinder head installed, I'm getting about 26mpg. Now I think that the head will pay for itself in fuel savings :smile: The funny part is that I still drive hard like I did before and I get that milage. I took the ride home from philly to northern NJ after the work was done on my car and we did the dyno testing, I averaged about 33 mpg on that trip in my MCS.

I'm pretty happy with those numbers.
